How to Enter the 2024/2025 MLK Contest

Reflect on a time when you made a positive difference in your community, whether big or small. How did this experience affect those around you, and what valuable lessons did you gain? How will you carry these lessons forward? Choose a category below and create an original piece that captures the impact of this experience and how it has shaped who you are.
Enter into one of three categories:
- Video:
- a. Short Film [Maximum of 5 minutes, up to 3 people]
- b. Video PSA [Maximum of 2 minutes, up to 3 people]
- Written Piece:
- a. Senior Essay [Maximum 500 words]
- b. Poem [Maximum 250 words, can be recorded into a spoken word]
- Portfolio
- a. Artwork [7 Images Max, description 150 words max]
- b. Photography [7 Images Max, description 150 words max]

The deadline to enter is January 1 at 11:59 p.m.

Enter the contest based on your category and appropriate grade level (elementary, middle, and high).

Submissions will be judged by a panel of TSD students, staff, and administrators.
