Section 31a At Risk Grant Annual Report
2025–2026 School Year
1. Section 31a Allocation
The district received $2,756,000 in Section 31a At-Risk funding for the 2025–2026 school year. These funds were used to provide evidence-based supports and interventions designed to improve academic achievement, attendance, engagement, and overall student success for students identified as at risk of educational failure.
2. Evidence-Based Interventions and Supports
During the 2025–2026 school year, Section 31a funds supported a variety of evidence-based interventions and services, including:
- Reading and mathematics intervention programs
- Academic intervention specialists and instructional support staff
- Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) interventions

Small-group and individualized instruction
Services were provided based on student needs and aligned with district improvement goals and state requirements.
3. Methodology for Distribution of Funds
The district allocated Section 31a funds using a needs-based methodology designed to prioritize support for students and schools with the greatest needs. Factors considered included:
- Percentage and number of students identified as at risk
- Student achievement data
- Academic intervention needs
- School improvement priorities
District leaders reviewed multiple data sources annually to ensure resources were distributed equitably and strategically to maximize student outcomes.
4. Parent and Caregiver Feedback
The district values feedback from parents and caregivers regarding Section 31a-funded services and supports. During the 2025–2026 school year, feedback was collected through:
- School and district communication platforms
- Parent-teacher conferences
- Family engagement events
- School improvement and
- Direct communication with school and district staff
Feedback received is reviewed and considered during annual planning and evaluation of Section 31a-funded programs and services.
