2024-25 PreK/K- 12 & Post High Enrollment

Enrollment is a two step process that is completed online.  The first step is Pre-Registration.  Once pre-registration is completed and you are given approval to move forward, you will receive directions to set up your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account where you will complete the second step, Enrollment Forms and Supporting Documentation.  Please complete each form in its entirety and upload required supporting documentation.  When documentation is required it will be noted at the bottom of the form you are completing.  We understand that you may not have access to a scanner, your cell phone or tablet can be used to scan your documents.  Click HERE for instructions for how to use your mobile device as a scanner.  You may also consider taking a picture on your cell phone and upload that picture as your documentation if needed.

Please remain patient while we work through the finalization of your student's enrollment.  There may be requests throughout the process to provide additional information when appropriate prior to final approval. You can check and review the status of your enrollment by logging into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account, select "Enrollment Forms" from the side menu, then select "Enrollment Status".  Please reach out to the enrollment staff if you need assistance.

PRIOR TO ENROLLMENT: CHECK YOUR ADDRESS FOR RESIDENCY

Parent or legal guardian and the student MUST be physically/legally residing in the Troy School District attendance area in order to start the enrollment process.  Maps are available on this page or at Troy City Parcel Search.  Once residency has been verified, follow the steps below to start the registration and enrollment process.

STEP 1:   Pre-Registration (REQUIRED)


To begin the enrollment process, read through all of the Enrollment Requirements, then complete the pre-registration form by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. 

SELECT THE CORRECT ENROLLING YEAR (2024-2025).  This step must be completed for ALL incoming students, including prospective Early On services. The following information is required for pre-registration:


1. Student Information 

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Home Phone Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Grade Level
2.  Household Information
  • Home Address
3.  Registration-Choose the school or program you are applying for.
 
4.  Guardian Information
  •  Parent/Legal Guardian Name
  •  Email Address
  •  Entry Year
  •  Entry Date
One your form has been submitted, you will receive an email from pssupport@troy.k12.mi.us confirming submission.
 
After your information is reviewed, you will receive an email with directions to complete the next step or a request for additional information.  If you do not receive the email - check your junk or spam email folders.

PRE-REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND AN EMAIL RESPONSE WITH INSTRUCTIONS RECEIVED TO BEGIN STEP 2

Setting up a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account for all NEW Students OR Accessing an Existing PowerSchool Parent Portal Account for Siblings or Re-Enrolling Students (REQUIRED)


Step 2 can ONLY be completed on a Laptop or Desktop computer using a Chrome, Firefox or Edge browser.  Mobile devices, like iPhones and/or Android are not compatible.  Safari is also not compatible.


Once you have access to the PowerSchool Parent Portal, you are ready to move forward in the second step of the enrollment process.  As you work through each form, click submit at the bottom to save your progress.  You may go back to each tabbed portion of the form to continue or correct content.  It is imperative that you read and complete each sections in their entirety and attach all required documentation to move the process forward and eliminate delays.  

 

Upload Instructions for Required Documentation

To upload documents to PowerSchool, you must Register an Account.  

  1. To register account, add your PowerSchool Parent Portal email address and password. (You only need to register once.  Future sessions will require you to SIGN IN before uploading).
  2. Click on Register button and agree to the terms.

If you are trying to upload a document to a form and it is not working, the following tips can clear errors:
  •  Clear the cache in your browser
  •  Clear cookies in your browser
  •  Make sure you are NOT in private browsing mode
  •  Files must be under 5MB in size
  •  File names cannot include any special characters, including periods or commas
