Labor, Material and Performance Bond: In accordance with Michigan Compiled Laws Section 129.201, successful contractor(s) must obtain Performance and Payment Bonds for any Bid Category exceeding $50,000. The Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in an amount equal to the contract amount. The performance and Payment Bonds shall be solely for the protection of Troy School District and shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the state of Michigan and be listed in Federal Register or have an AM Best Rating of B+ or better.
Bid Bond: Bid Bond required (certified or cashier checks are not acceptable) for all proposals more than $50,000
Exempt Status: This project is tax exempt for state sales tax and/or use tax.
Disclosure Statements: Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between owner or any employee of bidder and any member of Board of Education or Superintendent of Troy School District. Each bid proposal must also include a signed Iran Economic Sanctions Affidavit. The Board of Education will not accept a bid proposal that does not include this sworn and notarized familial disclosure statement or the Iran Economic Sanctions.

ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PROGRAM
TROY SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Troy School District will receive firm, sealed bids for all labor, material, equipment and all other services to complete Bid No. 9916 Asbestos Abatement Program.
Bid documents will also be placed on Buildingconnect.com with the follow link: https://app.buildingconnected.com/public/5cc9d7f637c1a90018cb55dc by January 11, 2021 at 5:00 PM local time.
Sealed Bids must be summitted through Builderconnect.com with the following link: https://app.buildingconnected.com/public/5cc9d7f637c1a90018cb55dc. No physical bids will be accepted in person or via delivery services. Bids are to be submitted no later than 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 26, 2021. The District will not consider or accept a bid received after the date and time specified for bid submission. Bids will be publicly opened immediately following the close of the receiving bids with the following virtual meeting link: meet. google.com/ibi-zify-kuw No oral, email, telephonic or telephonic proposals shall be considered.
A pre-bid walk through has been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Morse Elementary School located at 475 Cherry Street, Troy, MI 48083. All questions regarding the services specified, the bid specified, or the bid terms and conditions will be accepted in writing only and subsequently answered through an addendum to all interested parties. Questions must be received no later than noon, Wednesday, January 20, 2021; at no other time prior to the bid opening will questions/concerns be addressed or accepted and may be faxed to: 248.823.4077 or emailed as a Word document to: PurchasingOffice@troy.k12.mi.us
All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid proposal. The bid proposal will be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any employee of the bidder and any member of the Troy School Board or the Troy School District's Superintendent. Also, a completed certification form as attached for compliance to the 'Iran Economic Sanctions Act' is required with the bid proposal. The District will not accept a bid proposal that does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements.
In accordance with Michigan Compiled Laws Section 129.201, successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more, for any bid category, will be required to furnish a U.S. Treasury Listed Company Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond shall be identified within each proposal.
The Troy Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part; to award contract to other than the low bidder; to waive any irregularities and/or informalities; and in general to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the owner.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Troy Schools, and read aloud virtually via livestream. Bids shall be submitted online to the Troy School District - Bid Package 32 Troy High Media Center and Smith Middle Stage Renovations found in the Barton Malow Public Planroom. Bids shall be submitted by February 16th, 2021 by 10:00 AM, local time. The Owner will not accept any bid submitted after the indicated due time and date for the following work:
