Fine & Performing Arts
Fine & Performing Arts
The Troy School District Athletics proudly supports the arts through meaningful fine and performing arts experiences offered at very grade level. Our students begin with vocal music and visual arts in kindergarten and progress through our engaging curriculum, which is founded in Michigan and National Arts Standards and taught by qualified, passionate educators. In fifth grade, all students begin studying an instrument through our band and orchestra program.
At the secondary level, students build on the foundation they gained in elementary to grow their artistic skills and knowledge through a wide array of experiences both within and outside of the schools. Students are able to participate in band, orchestra, vocal music theatre, musicals, and a diverse selection of visual arts courses. Our programs provide students a chance to follow their own pursuits and passions while connecting them with their peers and the richness of the arts community throughout the world. The Fine & Performing Arts Department also works to recognize our students' hard work through performances, art displays, and additional events offered throughout the year. Many of our students have been recognized for their excellence, won awards for their talents, and have gone on to use their artistic experiences and talents both personally and professionally after graduation.
Why Engage in the Arts?
