Athletics
The Troy School District Athletics Department currently manages and supports over 40 seasonal athletic programs available for all TSD learners. Both Athens and Troy High School have been named one of 10 exemplary athletic programs in the state.
Our Vision for Athletics
Troy School District will create educational opportunities and experiences, through athletics, that will enhance scholar achievement, scholar development, and school culture.
Why Participate in Athletics?
As a district, we believe that the participation in athletic programs is essential for students to develop teamwork and self-discipline while building self-confidence. Each athlete builds skills that help prepare them for the real world. We strive to provide an environment where our students are encouraged to learn new skills, dedicate time to practice those skills, and are rewarded for their hard work. Athletics allows a TSD student to build positive relationships with their peers by learning sportsmanship in competition and in life.
