Career Readiness Targets for 2025-2026

The goal of Career Readiness is to ensure students are prepared for life after high school. Whether they choose college, the workforce, or the military, it is essential that students have opportunities to explore career options, understand their strengths, and identify their passions. Recognizing this need, the State of Michigan developed the Michigan Career Development Model, which outlines required actions for districts to strengthen Career Readiness in schools.
To support this work and meet state requirements, Oakland Schools has identified three key targets to guide our efforts.

  1. K-12 Target (EDP Completion)
  2. Elementary and Middle School Targets
  3. High School Pathful Target
