Career Readiness K-12
The K-12 Journey
At Troy School District, we believe every student’s future is full of possibilities. Career readiness is a journey, and each student has their own unique pathway to discover. From the first days of elementary school through high school graduation, we are here to help students explore their interests, grow their skills, and prepare for what comes next—whether that’s college, a career, or service in the military.
Our approach is built around three stages of career readiness:
- Career Awareness (Elementary School): Helping students begin to see the world of careers and recognize their own strengths and interests.
- Career Exploration (Middle School): Encouraging students to explore different pathways, connect learning to future opportunities, and start setting goals.
- Career Preparation (High School): Providing experiences, training, and guidance so students feel confident and ready for their next steps after graduation.
This website is your place to learn more about career readiness, Educational Development Plans (EDPs), and the many opportunities we provide for students along the way.
We invite you to explore and join us in supporting our students as they build their future—one step at a time.
