CAP = Career Accelerator Program
What to Expect
The Career Accelerator Program is designed for high school juniors to bridge the gap between education and the professional world by providing invaluable mentorship and exposure to various career opportunities for students within our community. This elite program consists of two parts, the Career Accelerator classes and the pre-internship. The 2025/2026 cohort will consist of 100 students. The application will open on November 17, 2025. This program is an exclusive opportunity to learn skills that will equip you for success after high school. It provides students with the opportunity to learn from a variety of high-level business leaders, exposure to a business environment, and knowledge that will help you succeed in any workplace.

CAP Class Schedule
All CAP Classes take place at Athens High School in the TACC from 3:30 - 5 p.m.
2025-2026 Schedule
- CAP Class #1 - January 29
- CAP Class #2 - February 12
- CAP Class #3 - February 26
- MATCH DAY - March 12 - Troy High School - Media Center
Pre-Internship
- 20-25 Hours
- Completed March - June 2026
Internships are very important part of our education program, first and foremost. In setting up professional internships, not only will we be able to offer students a chance to work with industry professionals, but the students also will be able to take the theory they learn in the classroom and put it into practice here, in whichever activity they’re focused.
