Project Sticker Shock – Generally implemented in the spring prior to prom and graduation season, the countywide campaign aims to reach those individuals over age 21 that can legally purchase alcohol. The campaign consists of bright orange stickers being adhered to multi-packs of alcoholic beverages (beer and wine coolers) in participating retail stores. The stickers provide information about the legal consequences of providing alcohol to minors. Coalition staff and volunteers visit stores during the scheduled campaign dates, to place the stickers on the alcohol. More than a dozen retailers have been enthusiastic partners in the campaign.
