VISITOR KIOSK CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS
ALL visitors entering a Troy District School building need to scan a valid state identification card and sign in at the kiosk or ask for assistance using the door buzzer.
Step 1: APPROACH KIOSK & SIGN-IN
Follow the step-by-step instructions on the kiosk screen. When prompted, place your drivers license into the card holder with the barcode facing up. If you do not have a drivers license, proceed to the door buzzer for assistance.
To scan your license, rotate the card vertically with the barcode on the back facing you and insert it into the card reader on the back of the kiosk in the upper right corner.
District employees, contract employees and regular service providers, such as FedEx, UPS, and USPS, do not need to sign in at the kiosk. Use the door buzzer for assistance. All other visitor, such as, Parents, guardians, volunteers, and vendors need to use the kiosk to sign in before entering the building.
Step 2: VISITOR PASS ISSUES
Once you have completed your kiosk sign in instructions, staff will remotely unlock the door for you. The secretary at the elementary building and security officer in a secondary building will issue you a visitor pass. PASSES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE BUILDING.
Step 3: SIGN OUT TO EXIT THE BUILDING
Please wear your visitor pass at all times while inside the building. Before leaving, stop by the main office or security desk to sign out. Staff will direct you to the appropriate kiosk or assist you with the sign-out process.
