Community Partnerships
Career Readiness & Business Engagement
The Troy School District proudly partners with local businesses in the development of programs to stimulate student career interest and success in adulthood. These strategic partnerships were developed to provide an introduction to careers through quality work-based learning experiences, such as internships.

The Business Roundtable is a dynamic program aimed at bringing together businesses in Troy to forge enduring partnerships with the Troy School District (TSD). Through quarterly meetings, a select number of businesses engage in insightful discussions, share perspectives on industry needs, and provide feedback to TSD on various strategic goals. These gatherings serve as a platform for rich dialogue and an opportunity to explore strategies to enhance educational benefits for TSD students.
The overarching objective is to establish robust support networks that directly benefit TSD students. Emphasizing collaboration and critical thinking, the program seeks to foster an environment where businesses can collectively contribute to the academic excellence and community engagement of Troy. In essence, the Business Roundtable serves as a catalyst for synergy among local businesses, promoting not only their individual success but also the broader advancement of education and community involvement in Troy.
The Business Council is a program by the Troy School District (TSD) designed to foster partnerships between the district and local businesses. This platform offers business leaders and owners regular updates about TSD's developments and initiatives, as well as the chance to network with other prominent businesses. The council meets semi-annually, making it ideal for businesses interested in collaboration but with limited time to commit to ongoing district activities.
Members of the Business Council will receive insights into the district's strategic plans, educational programs, and community projects. Additionally, they will have opportunities to engage in discussions with key district leaders and influential business figures, enhancing their understanding of local educational needs and potential areas for partnership.
The Career Accelerator Program (CAP) is a cutting-edge pre-internship opportunity for high school juniors and seniors. This innovative program seamlessly connects academic learning with real-world professional experiences, aiming to bridge the gap between education and the dynamic demands of the professional world. Our primary objective is to provide students with mentorship and exposure to diverse career pathways within our vibrant community.
CAP includes specialized classes and a pre-internship component consisting of 20 hours, offering an elite educational experience designed to propel students toward success. The Career Accelerator Program is not merely an educational endeavor; it is a gateway to empowerment, preparing the leaders of tomorrow for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
