As the school year concludes and summer construction begins to ramp up, we wanted to provide you with a few important updates.
Troy High School
Work began this week to replace the track, surrounding fence, and asphalt at Troy High. As a result, the Troy High Track will be closed until late August.
Athens High School
Next week, work will begin on the Athens gymnasium. The floor will be fully refinished, the walls painted, and new bleachers will be installed. Therefore, the Athens Gymnasium will be closed until late August.
Elementary Schools and High Schools Grass Fields
Summer is a wonderful time to grow grass! The community will notice fencing at some of our elementary schools, the new JV baseball and softball fields at THS & AHS, as well as the tennis courts at THS, as we wait for the grass to take root.
Smith Middle School
We are on track to move into NEW Smith this summer. Landscaping will begin next week. Carpet, ceiling tiles, and the kitchen are being installed, and we are more than 85% complete on our brand-new school. Our ribbon-cutting will take place in late Fall.
Boulan Park Middle School
A groundbreaking ceremony will take place tomorrow for Boulan Park Middle School, marking the official start of construction. Over the summer, our teams will be busy preparing Boulan Park staff and students for their temporary move to Old Smith for the next school year while Boulan Park is renovated.
We look forward to sharing all of our new state-of-the-art facilities with our students, families, and the community. Thank you for your support of OneTroy!
