Do I have to live in the Troy School
District to attend its schools?
The Troy School District participates in a limited schools of choice
program of approximately 50 students in kindergarten and first grades.
The district receives receives more applications than positions
available to its students. In order to ensure that your children
receives the benefits of a Troy School District education, you must
be a resident of the Troy School District.
The Troy School District does participate in open enrollment among
its schools. Parents may choose any existing school within the district,
provided they are able to transport their student. Transportation
is provided to neighborhood schools for students who do not live
in close proximity to their schools. The only school currently closed
to open enrollment is Troy High School.

The Troy School District has been consistently recognized for its
comprehensive programs in the areas academic, athletic and fine
arts. In addition, the Troy School District offers many support

What school will my student attend?
The neighborhood school your children will attend is determined
by the location of your residence. A map is available on the Troy
School District site at the following link.
It is important that you verify you are in the proper attendance
area before you make a commitment on a house.
