Troy School District AYP information

AYP is a requirement of the Federal education law called No Child Left Behind (NCLB) and compares the results of the reading/language arts and mathematics parts of the MEAP test over the past three years to determine progress students are making. All elementary and middle schools in Troy have earned Adaquate Yearly Progress. For the first time since the programs inception in 2003, the high school did not receive AYP. The AYP was not result of a performance-related issue, but rather from the State of Michigan determining that 95 percent of a subgroup of students did not take the Michigan Merit Exam. For more information on the high school AYP, please visit this link.
