Troy School District voters approved a $119 million bond issue on June 14.

The bond issue has allowed the district to make necessary infrastructure improvements, replace technology, and create space that better supports instructional programs.

Necessary and extensive improvements are being made at each school site.



The following projects are being completed in summer, 2010.

Athens High School

  • Replacement of all corridor carpeting with Rubber Flooring.
  • Media Center renovations – Carpet / Painting / Lighting Upgrades / New Furniture / Electrical Upgrades
  • Lighting Upgrades in all locker rooms.
  • Re-sand/ Re-line & Logo / Re-finish Main Gymnasium Floor.
  • Replacement of Artificial Turf Field. 
  • Replacement of Parking Lot Gates.
  • Exterior Door Replacement
  • Access Control Security System
  • Lighting Control Upgrades

Troy High School

  • Replacement of flooring in 73 classrooms and 16 office and/or conference rooms.
  • Replacement of all corridor carpeting with Rubber Flooring.
  • Replacement of Artificial Turf Field. 
  • Exterior Door Replacement
  • Replacement of Tennis Courts

International Academy East

  • Replacement of flooring in 10 classrooms

Boulan Park Middle School

  • Replacement of flooring in 19 classrooms and 14 prep and/or work rooms (700 and 900 block mainly).
  • Upgrade lighting in locker rooms.
  • Installation of Sound Panels (replacement panels) in 18 classrooms

Larson Middle School

  • Replacement of flooring in 19 classrooms and 14 prep and/or work rooms (700 and 900 block mainly).
  • Upgrade lighting in locker rooms.
  • Installation of Sound Panels (replacement panels) in 18 classrooms

Hill Elementary School

  • Replacement of flooring in 22 classrooms, Main Office and 4 conference and/or office spaces.

All Elementary School Sites

  • Turnover, weed and install new engineer fiber around all play structures.
