The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is an internationally recognized method for delivery of curriculum.

The IB education is available to students in Kindergarten through Twelfth grade in the Troy School District, at Morse Elementary, Baker Middle School, and The International Academy East.

The IB program connects Troy School District classrooms to the world outside so that students can gain an international perspective. This program gives our students the opportunity to take part in a program that is recognized for excellence and is available in 122 countries throughout the world.

TSD offers K-12 International Baccalaureate opportunities

The Troy School District is proud to offer all three of the International Baccalaureate educational programmes. These programmes provide a high quality, challenging educational environment for our students encouraging them to become life-long learners, and fully engaged citizens who embrace their own culture and are open to the views and cultures of others

The IB education is available to students in Kindergarten through Twelfth grade in the Troy School District, at Morse Elementary, Baker Middle School, and The International Academy East.

All three programmes offer:

  • A strong international dimension
  • Draw on content for educational cultures all around the globe
  • Require study across a wide range of subjects
  • Have a focus on learning languages
  • Focus on the development of the skills of learning
  • Provide opportunities for individual and collaborative planning and research
  • Encourage students to become responsible citizens

All three programmes include:

  • A written curriculum or curriculum framework
  • Student assessment
  • Professional development and global networking opportunities for teachers
  • Support, authorization and programme evaluation for the school
