We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. The Troy School District website is required to be in compliance with Section 504 and Title II of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 504 requires equal access and communication of electronic information and data so that it is accessible to people with disabilities. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly. In developing our site, templates were subjected to automated and end-user testing.

The Troy School District strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability as comprehensively as possible on this website. The TSD website has been and continues to be tested and improved using leading web accessibility technologies.  Our school webmasters are provided a guidebook on accessibility and provided training and review of the guidelines at the start of each school year.
