All Troy Schools are accredited by the North Central Association. The Troy School District is also one of only eight in Michigan to hold districtwide accreditation.

The Troy School District has six national exemplary schools and all schools have received the prestigious Michigan Blue Ribbon honor.

The Troy School District has been named one of the 100 Best Communities for Music Education for the past two years.

Troy School District students and staff are honored for excellence at both national and state levels.

Both Athens and Troy High Schools are two of five schools statewide to have exemplary athletic programs.

Troy students are among the top performers on state and national standardized tests.

The Troy Board of Education is one of 11 boards in the State of Michigan to earn the Standard of Excellence Award and one of four to earn the Visionary Leadership Award. The Board has also been named the ArtServe board of the year in 2007 and 2008 for its support of the Fine Arts.

The Troy School District has been named one of the 25 best places in America for families who are seeking to relocate to a new community. The Troy community was also named Michigan's Best small city and the nation's 22nd best for its quality of schools, parks, and other municipal services.
